Hello everybody! Yes, yes, its’ going to snow cause I’m finally doing my next blog. Looks like I’m on a monthly blog cycle…

We are living by the beach! It’s a really pretty one too, and our apartment (flat) looks out over it. We may not have furniture, but at least we have the view!

We moved in on Saturday – the easiest move I have ever & will ever make. All our possessions squashed into one car load (we had bought some linen and stuff prior to the move so that we would have it available if our deliveries arrived too late for us to go shopping), and we arrived in Manly (our new home suburb) about an hour and a half before we were due to meet the agent to sign our lease. I said to Grant that at that stage we were effectively homeless, as we were now locked out of the old apartment, and had not yet signed for the new one!

And now for the biggest and most pleasant surprise of the day – we got a call from the delivery van driver about 15 minutes before signing our lease that he would be delivering our goods shortly; so within 5 minutes of having the keys, we also had a fridge, microwave, tv, toaster & electric frying pan (listed for the benefit of the ever concerned mom’s). Similarly, our bed arrived just before lunch time, and we bought a stylish lounge suite of two green camper chairs in the afternoon, as well as two trolleys full of groceries & miscellaneous household goods (again, for the concerned moms!).

We’re really enjoying ourselves here – work is a necessary evil (made harder by the glorious beach view), but I’m enjoying it so far, so that makes a difference. These Aussies (although half my office are non-aussies) work harder than I expected! I’ve been to Adelaide, and will be spending Wednesday & Thursday in Melbourne, and will probably be off to Perth next month with a trip to California possibly on the cards for the end of this month…busy, busy.
